Sandringam Hospital celebrates with supporters

Sandringham Hospital recently hosted a cocktail function at the Sandringham Yacht Club to thank major supporters for their ongoing commitment, as part of the 50th birthday celebrations.

Guests included the Victorian Minister for Health, the Hon. David Davis, The Women's CEO Sue Matthews and Board chair Margaret Fitzherbert, Alfred Health's CEO Andrew Way, Board chair Helen Shardey, local member Murray Thompson, mayor of the City of Kingston, Paul Peulich and fellow councillor Ron Brownlees and local councillor Felicity Frederico.

Sandringham's director of nursing Judy Reeves said the event was a great opportunity to thank those who have supported the community hospital.

"It's quite easy in the busy world we live in today to forget the people and services in our community who need our support. We are fortunate to have many people donate their time, money and resources towards Sandringham Hospital," Judy said.

"Fifty years is an important milestone to celebrate and remind us how lucky we are to have our Sandy Hospital and the support of our volunteers and donors."
